Going into the holidays, we had seven senior cats (all between the ages of nine and 14 years old) looking for their new retirement homes after their owners had either passed away, or had moved into assisted living facilities.

Oct. 30, we received a phone call from a woman who was on our animal intake waiting list. She wanted to update us on a kitten born to a feral mom in a barn. She said his head was swollen, he couldn’t walk, and his mom had taken the rest of his siblings and moved, leaving him cold and hungry.

Learning more about feline leukemia
